Wyley’s voice fits into the same vein as such southern story-tellers like Willie Nelson, but has a much more somber timbre. The album plays like a slowly approaching thunderstorm, full of low rumbles, whirling mandolin licks, and starkly beautiful lyrics. Opening track “This Mess” is no exemption, setting the mood for a pleasantly quiet listening experience.

Where are you from? From: Hernando, MS

When did you first discover Kyle Wyley? “Discovered” Kyle at CMA Music Fest several years ago…can’t remember what year, but it was his first time there….long story, but been following his career ever since! Try to make it to his shows as often as possible.

What is your favorite song by Kyle Wyley? Favorite song…hmmm, hard to answer, so, so many great songs to choose from…. love some of the old stuff, but have to say I like the new stuff even more….love to see him truly enjoying his art and singing what he wants to sing! Always say, he could sing “row, row, row your boat” and it would sound good! If I have to choose a favorite right now, I think it would have to be “Take your Time.”
Where do you listen to Kyle Wyley? Where do I listen to Kyle? At home, in my vehicle, on my phone, and at work….everywhere. His voice soothes me….it can turn the worst day into no big deal…something about it just takes the worries away! Makes me smile!
What’s your favorite thing about Kyle Wyley? Favorite thing about Kyle? His honesty and sincerity. And, of course, the “Kyle smile”!
What’s your favorite type of music? Favorite type of music? I love music…..almost all genres, but I mostly listen to country and oldies.
What do you do for fun? Any hobbies? What do I do for fun?/Hobbies? LOVE concerts, reading, photography, the beach, shopping, and watching my kids play sports! Sneak away to Nashville with my best friend, Lisa every chance we get!
What would you say to all Kyle’s fans? What would I say to Kyle’s fans? Thanks for the support! Keep spreading the word! Hang on tight friends……this ride is about to get wild!

I had recognized this in myself only days before going into the studio. I cannot even begin to put into words how big of a break through this was. Every method, approach,  constructive thought toward my art simply dissolved. Leaving me in a still clearing. For years, I had been walking in circles with the wrong compass.

The set up was beyond words. An old castle converted into a studio. The smell of its old wood and stones gave me the answers without the questions, make it honest, build it to last.  Every piece of musical equipment showed it’s youth in the 70’s. The Victorian style armchair, actually used in the Simple Poor Boy video offering a warm embrace for every song I  didn’t know I was going to record. I sat down, took a deep breath, and began.
